Birthdays and Magazines

We just celebrated two birthdays this week, my son's Feb. 9th, and my husband's Feb. 11th.  It has been a busy week with the birthdays and valentines day coming up but I wouldn't change it for a moment.  The guys weren't excited to sing happy birthday but at least I got them to pose for a birthday picture with the cake I made.  I added just a little red food coloring to the frosting to make it pink since valentine's day is just around the corner and of course my favorite color.  With just enough sprinkles and two candles burning the stage was set for my pictures.
I told the guys to pretend they were blowing out the candles, so glad they did because I liked how this picture turned out.  My niece told me how to do black and white pictures with just color where you want it how cool is that!  You do it in photo bucket.
After the picture I told them to blow out the candles and when they did Chris actually blew them both out so Ryan needed to lite his candle and blow it out himself it was funny.

Chris had Friday off so we headed to Statesboro to go to one of our favorite antique stores so Chris could buy his present, (shhh we won't tell what he found), but while I was browsing the booths I came across these Home Companion magazines!   What a score!  I just love the covers and can't wait to sit and flip through the pages!  They are from 1998 & 1999
The day was busy but wonderful at the same time and now I have a date with a comfortable chair and magazines so have a blessed day.

Blow out the candles, wish away, you are the superstar of the day.

Happy Birthday to the men in your life! Don't you just love H.C. magazines! I recognize all the covers, now I wish I would have kept mine.
